Conference Background
The Fifth International Conference on Innovation and Knowledge Management (iKM2023) will convene on November 9th-11th, 2023 in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. The conference is initiated by Research Center of Technological Innovation of Tsinghua University, and organized by School of Management of Wuhan University of Science and Technology, Tongfang Knowledge Network Digital Publishing Technology Co., Ltd (Beijing).
We intend to invite over 20 distinguished experts, scholars and practitioners from around the world, including the world famous master of knowledge innovation Professor Ikujiro Nonaka, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering Professor Qingrui XU and Professor Xiaohong CHEN, Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering (CAE) Professor Lihui WANG, director of Research Center of Technological Innovation of Tsinghua University Professor Jin CHEN, to gather and discuss the future of innovation and knowledge management together with the theme of "Innovation and Knowledge Management in the Age of Digital Intelligence".
The International Conference on Innovation and Knowledge Management has been held for four consecutive sessions from 2017 to 2021, with more than 400 participants each year. It has provided an effective platform for facilitating the communication among scholars and entrepreneurs in the field of knowledge management and innovation throughout the world.

Prof. Qingrui XU
Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, professor and doctoral supervisor of School of Management at Zhejiang University, expert in technology innovation and management. In the 1980s, he visited the United States at MIT and Stanford University for two years to study "research, development and technology innovation management". After returning to China, he opened up new areas of technical innovation and technical management in China, and put forward the theory of "Secondary Innovation, Combined Innovation, and Total Innovation." with enterprises as the main body, which has been well approved by international experts of innovation and applied by international enterprises. He advocated and participated in various national technological innovation projects and entrepreneurial innovation programs, bringing profits to such enterprises as Haier and Hang Yang.
He has been a member of the Academic Degree Committee of the State Council and the Natural Science Foundation for several times. He had published his monograph, "Total Innovation Management"(TIM), "The Basic Laws and Patterns of Enterprise Management", "Management" in the 21st Century, "Research and Development and Management of Technological Innovation", "To Leverage Innovation Capability of Chinese Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises by Total Innovation Management" (English version) and more than ten textbooks. He has published more than 300 academic papers and invited to give lectures in more than 30 countries and regions.
Prof. Ikujiro Nonaka
Japanese organizational theorist and Professor Emeritus at the Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy of the Hitotsubashi University, best known for the research on knowledge management. He proposed the SECI model (i.e., Socialization-Externalization-Combination-Internalization), which presents the spiraling knowledge processes of interaction between explicit knowledge and tacit knowledge. In 2008, the Wall Street Journal listed him as one of the most influential persons on business thinking, and The Economist included him in its "Guide to Management Ideas and Gurus".
Prof. Xiaohong CHEN
Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, a renowned expert in the fields of management science and engineering, engineering management, and data intelligence in China. the Secretary of the Party Committee of Hunan University of Commerce, Honorary Dean of the Business School of Central South University, Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor. She is also a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, a standing member of the Department of Engineering Management of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, a member of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the convener of the Management Science and Engineering Discipline Evaluation Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council. In addition, she serves as the Deputy Director of the Management Science Department of the Science and Technology Committee of the Ministry of Education, Director of the National Basic Science Center for Resource and Environmental Management in the Digital Economy Era, Director of the Xiangjiang Laboratory, and the leader and chief professor of the national key discipline of ‘Management Science and Engineering’,the innovative research group of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Changjiang Scholars and Innovative Research Team of the Ministry of Education. She is also a recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, a leading figure in the field of philosophy and social sciences of the ‘Ten Thousand Talents Plan’ of the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the first and second level academic and technical leaders of the ‘Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Talents Project’ of the Chinese government, chairman of the Advisory Committee of the China Association for Modernization of Management, and a recipient of the Fudan Management Distinguished Contribution Award and the Guangzhao Science and Technology Award. Furthermore, she is recognized as a National Outstanding Teacher and a ‘March Eighth Red Flag Bearer’ nationwide.
Prof. Lihui WANG
Professor and Chair of Sustainable Manufacturing at KTH, Sweden. He is also the Director of Centre of Excellence in Production Research (XPRES) at KTH. He is also a Fellow of The Canadian Academy of Engineering (CAE), a Fellow of The International Academy for Production Engineering (CIRP), a Fellow of International Academy of Engineering and Technology (AET), a Fellow of SME, a Fellow of ASME, and a registered Professional Engineer in Canada. He has served as the President (2020-2021) of North American Manufacturing Research Institution (NAMRI) of Society of Manufacturing Engineers, and the Chairman (2018-2020) of Swedish Production Academy. In 2020, he was elected one of the 20 Most Influential Professors in Smart Manufacturing by Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
His research interests are focused on real-time monitoring and control, human-robot collaboration, brain robotics, digital twin, cyber-physical and sustainable production systems. He is the Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Manufacturing Research, Journal of Manufacturing Systems, Robotics and Computer-Integrated Manufacturing. Professor Wang has published 10 books and 650 scientific articles and the total number of citations in Google Scholar is more than 22,000 times.
Prof. Jin CHEN
Professor at the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University, Director of the Technology Innovation Research Center, Tsinghua University. He has long been committed to research in knowledge and innovation management and is the recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, the Special Government Allowance of the State Council, the "National Millions of Talents Project", and the Changjiang Scholar Distinguished Professorship. He also serves as the Vice President of the China Society for Management Science, the Vice Chairman of the China Association for Science of Science and Science Policy Research, and a member of the Management Committee of the International Schumpeter Society. Additionally, he holds editorial positions for the international academic journals International Journal of Knowledge Management Studies (ESCI) and International Journal of Innovation Studies (Scopus), as well as serving as the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Science of Science and Management of S.&.T. and the Journal of Management Engineering.
Prof. Rongbin LI
Founder and director of the Knowledge Management and Innovation Research Center at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He served as the President of The Hong Kong Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology, Chairman of the Institution of Electrical Engineers (Hong Kong), member of the Engineering Panel of the Research Grants Council, and President of the Asian Society for Precision Engineering and Nanotechnology (ASPEN). He also served as the chief editor of the international journals Information and Knowledge Management Systems and Journal of Knowledge Science and Systems Science, and has been the chief editor of the Asian Journal of the International Journal of Material Processing Technology and a member of the editorial board of the Chinese Journal of Construction Machinery. His research interests include advanced manufacturing technology, manufacturing strategy, and knowledge management. Professor Rongbin Li, together with Microsoft, established the first knowledge solution laboratory in Hong Kong, the "Digital Factory and Microsoft Enterprise System Center"; he also launched the first online Master's degree program in Knowledge Management in Asia and pioneered research and application of knowledge management in manufacturing, public utilities, and healthcare.
Prof. Eric Tsui
Professor of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Associate Chairman of Hong Kong Knowledge Management Society and Regional Chief Editor of Journal of Knowledge Management, joined Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) in 1989, and has been a full-time professor of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He possesses nearly two decades of experience in teaching and practicing knowledge management, providing consultancy support for the governments and enterprises of Hong Kong SAR, as well as Australia, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and other countries. He has been recognized twice as an academic model of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and serves as a regional editor for the Journal of Knowledge Management and deputy editor for the VINE Journal of Information and Knowledge Management Systems.
Prof. Alexander Brem
Chair Professor and institute director at the University of Stuttgart in Germany, as well as an honorary professor at the University of Southern Denmark. His research focuses on research and development management, including idea management, user innovation, and technology entrepreneurship. He serves as an associate editor for journals such as IEEE Transactions and Engineering Management and Technological Forecasting and Social Change.
Prof. Mats Magnusson
Professor of KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Product Innovation Engineering,visiting professor of Luiss Guido Carli School of Business and Management, Rome, Italy; visiting professor of University of Bologna and Aalborg University. The chairman of CINet-Continuous Innovation Network. His research focuses on the Innovative strategies and operation management, and has issued lots of academic publications on Organisation Studies, Research Policy, Journal of Product Innovation Management, Long Range Planning, Journal of Knowledge Management, Technovation.
Prof. Soo Hee LEE
Professor of Organizational Studies, Kent Business School, University of Kent. Vice President of the Korea Cultural Economy Association and Chairman of the Korea Creative City Forum. He has held positions at the University of Sheffield, Birkbeck College, University of London, University of Science and Technology of China, and Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. He has provided consulting services to many art institutions, cultural foundations, galleries and academic projects in art and culture. He is a member of the editorial boards of several journals, including Journal of World Business, Technology Forecasting and Social Change, Global Transformation and Journal of Digital Innovation, and member of the Scientific Committee of the Social Theory, Politics and the Arts Conference (STP&A). His research interests are institutional foundations and the behavioral dynamics of creativity, innovation, and leadership in various contexts, and he has published more than 50 papers in Journal of International Business Research, Journal of World Business, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Organizational Studies, and Research Policy.
Prof. Xiaoying DONG
Associate professor of Management Science and Information Systems at the Guanghua School of Management, Peking University. She is also the Vice President of the Development Strategy Research Institute of the National High-Tech Development Zone at Peking University, the Vice Chairman of the China Information Economics Society, the Director of the Knowledge Management Research Center, and a Senior Research Fellow at both the WTO Research Institute and the Institute of Private Economy Research at Peking University. Additionally, she is a member of the Expert Group for Information Management Projects and the Expert Group for the CALIS Project of the Ministry of Education. Her main research interests include enterprise information strategy, IT and organizational change, knowledge management, competitive intelligence and Internet-based information management and services.

2. The project cases and related papers to declare achievements should be innovative, leading, timely (within the last five years), typical, with strong reference significance, replication, and promotion value, and should be combined with graphs, tables, and other expressions to the greatest extent possible.
3. The reporting entity is responsible for the reported materials' authenticity. Each unit must declare no more than three items, and the main finishers of each achievement project case must be no more than five people.
4. The declaration of results must be made independently by institutions and individuals, sent via unified mail, and completed in the "declaration form of results"; At the same time, it is necessary to submit a paper related to the achievement case (the published paper should indicate the public publication time and publishing platform in the first paragraph of the article), and the format of submitting unpublished papers should refer to the Enterprise Management case writing style.(http://www.qyglzz.com/xuzhi.php).
